Originating from Latin America and the American South-west, they are a member of the Phaseolus vulgaris family. Pinto beans are well-known for their rust-coloured speckles that disappear when cooked. They are a delicious, nutritious, and versatile ingredient.

Process:

Uren’s IQF pinto beans are sourced from our expert, accredited growers and are grown to industry standards. The pinto beans are harvested once the beans have matured. Farmers pick the bean pods off the plants, collect them up and take them to the factory to be de-shelled, washed, and thoroughly inspected for defects. The pinto beans are then rapidly frozen at extremely low temperatures to ensure maximum freshness and a free-flowing product.

Packaged in 12kg cartons.
